A recent New Yorker article (April 6, 2026) engaged in deep investigative reporting about OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.

The main author of the article, investigative journalist Ronan Farrow (with co-author Andrew Marantz), reached the conclusion that Altman's integrity was questioned by many of his top employees and board members at OpenAI.

Farrow posted a summary of his investigative article on X, where he encouraged people to subscribe to the New Yorker magazine to support his investigative reporting:

One of the first replies to the X post was from Altman's longtime critic, Elon Musk, who simply posted: "Troubling."
